Whited (1997) Docie Mae Fisher Whited, 92, of Lawrenceville, Ga., formerly of Walton, died Thursday, May 8, 1997 at Delmar Gardens Nursing Center, Lawrenceville, after a brief illness. She was born at Ryan, a daughter of the late Theodore and Emily Anderson Hill. She was a homemaker and a 50-year member of the Walton Union Church. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Glen Wright of Lawrenceville; one step-daughter, Marlene Jones of Walton; one sister, Gatha Berry of Walton; one grandson, Steve Wright of Danville, Calif.; two step-granddaughters, Lisa Jones of Walton and Linda Ashley of Cross Lanes; one step-grandson, Mike Jones of Walton, and six step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wilbur E. Fisher in 1939, and her second husband, Wilfred M. Whited in 1991. Services were Sunday at Walton Union Church with Rev. Leon Strickland officiating. Burial was in Elk Hills Memorial Park Elkview. Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
