In the papers, Sally declares that she was married to Fleming Cobb in Kanawha Co, VA on 10 Jan 1796, that her name before she married was Sally Morris and that her husband died at Kanawha Co on 10 Jan 1846. Witnesses stated that he was the only Fleming Cobb living in Kanawha Co at that time.
6/12/1854, Sarah Cobb, age 79, declared she was widow of Fleming Cobb, private in the Indian Wars of 1791, 1792 & 1793., that he was stationed at the fort or block house sometimes called Clendennin's Station on the Kanawha River near the mouth of Elk River. She is able to speak of her own knowledge, being then a girl in said fort near Elk River.
11 June 1833, Fleming Cobb declared that he was born in the month of Dec 1767, in Buckingham Co, VA, moved to Albemarle Co in 1787 and in the fall of 1789, moved to Kanawha Co. In Feb or Mar 1791, he was enlisted as an Indian spy by George Clendennin.
