June A. Cain, 86, of St. Albans, died Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Cedar Ridge Center in Pocatalico. She was born in Buffalo, W.Va., a daughter of the late John O. and Ethel Hicks Donohoe.
She was a kindergarten teacher and had taught in Key West as well as Salt Lake City. She attended Mineral Wells Baptist Church and Mt. Zion Baptist Church and could always be counted on if any of her family was in need.
She is survived by her son, William G. Cain Jr. of St. Albans; grandson, William Dennis Cain and his wife, Carol, of Marathon, Fla.; step-granddaughter, Deborah Alvarez of Key West, Fla.; a sister, Betty Parsons of Athens, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Cain Sr.; a step-granddaughter, Lee Murphy; five sisters; and two brothers.
Services will be Wednesday 3 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Scott Stewart, Mr. Cain's great nephew, officiating. Burial will be in Rector Cemetery, Wirt County. Visitation will be Wednesday 1 to 3 p.m.
