"Peggy" Erma M. LANDIS, age 66 of Marengo died at home early Tuesday, January 8, 2002 following an extended illness.
She was born on August 16, 1935 in Obetz to the late c and Lena (Thomas) McDole. She had been a homemaker of the Marengo area for 40 years. Attended the Victory Freewill Baptist Church of Marengo and the Centerburg Enterprise Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, crafts, crocheting, knitting, and collected porcelain birds.
Survived by her husband of 42 years: Randell Landis, Son: Rick & Becky Landis of Cardington, Daughter: Vickey & Melvin Stiffler of Marengo, 6 Grandchild: Melvin, Malinda, Angie, Sarah, Aaron, Meriah, Great-grandson: Ty, Sisters: Joann Lell, Betty Clark, Starline Newland, Brother: Archie McDole.
Preceded in death by Brothers: Donald & Tom McDole, Sisters: Patty Armentrout & Margie Weaver.
Friends may call Thursday from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m., at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 229, MARENGO, where services will follow at 2:00 p.m., Pastors Brad Duncan and Rolland Edwards officiating.
Interment Marengo Cemetery.
