Prenter, WV - Walter Zornes, 75, of Prenter, Boone Co., WV., died Thursday in General
Division, CAMC, after a long illness. He was a retired miner and a member of the Advent
Christian Church, Williams Mountain. Surviving: wife, Ruth; sons, David, John and Paul of
Williams Mountain; daughters, Christina Bartley of Fairborn, Ohio, Betty Conklin of
Alexandria, Va., Wanda Kahn of Tampa, Florida, Imogene Bradley and Thelma Holstein and
Patricia White, of Williams Mountain; 26 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Service
will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Advent Christian Church with Rev. James Coleman officiating. Burial will be in Williams Mountain Cemetery. (clipping not dated)
Prenter, WV - Mrs. Ruth Velma Zornes, 76, of Prenter, Boone Coungy, died Wednesday in St. Francis Hospital. She was a member of the William Mountain Advent Christian Church.
Surviving: daughters, Christine Bartley of Louisburg, North Carolina, Betty Coklin of
Alexandria, Va., Wanda Kahn of Florida, Imogene Bradley, Thelma Holstein and Pat White, of Williams Mountain; sons, David, John and Paul, of Williams Mountain; sisters, Anna Parsons of Tyler Mountain, Nancy Nelson of Williams Mountain, Cuma Riccardo of Sissonville; brothers, Noble Hamon of Albany, Ohio, Fred Hamon of Hinton; 26 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Williams Mountain Advent Church with the Rev. Darrell Ross and Rev. Troy Howleton officiating. Burial will be in Williams Mountain Cemetery.
