I have no idea who she was writing to, but it says,     "In looking over a newspaper  was your grandfather’s name Wm. Oxley, [Sara Briggs] of Athens Co. If so, have you ever heard him speak of his brothers and sisters in Ohio Daniel, Elisha, Jno. David & Elizabeth & Ann. I, being a great granddaughter of Jno. Oxley above mentioned. Seeing your name and picture quite often my mother and grandmother were curious to know if you were “Uncle Billy” Oxley’s grandson. We would very much appreciate hearing from you."
